Ferrous sulfate can be used in chromatographic analysis reagents, spot analysis to determine platinum, selenium, nitrite and nitrate. Ferrous sulfate can also be used as a reducing agent, ferrite production, water purification, polymerization catalyst, photographic plate making, etc.
1. Water treatment
Ferrous sulfate is used for the flocculation and purification of water, and to remove phosphate from urban and industrial sewage to prevent eutrophication of water bodies.
2. Reducing agent
A large amount of ferrous sulfate is used as a reducing agent, mainly reducing chromate in cement.
3. Medicinal
Ferrous sulfate is used to treat iron deficiency anemia; it is also used to add iron to food. Long-term excessive use may cause side effects such as abdominal pain and nausea. In medicine, it can also be used as a local astringent and blood tonic, and can be used for chronic blood loss caused by uterine fibroids.
4. Coloring agent
The production of iron tannate ink and other inks requires ferrous sulfate. The mordant for wood dyeing also contains ferrous sulfate; ferrous sulfate can be used to dye concrete into a yellow rust color; woodworking uses ferrous sulfate to stain maple with silver color.
5. Agriculture
Adjust the pH of the soil to promote the formation of chlorophyll (also known as iron fertilizer), which can prevent yellowing disease caused by iron deficiency in flowers and trees. It is an indispensable element for acid-loving flowers and trees, especially iron trees. It can also be used as a pesticide in agriculture to prevent wheat smut, scab of apples and pears, and rot of fruit trees; it can also be used as a fertilizer to remove moss and lichen from tree trunks.

The main function of ferrous sulfate is a flocculant: strong decolorization ability, good effect of removing metal ions, degreasing, descaling, and sterilization. It has obvious effects on decolorization of printing and dyeing wastewater, removal of CDO, and coprecipitation of ferrite in electroplating wastewater. Zhengzhou ferrous sulfate is cheap, and it is the first choice for wastewater treatment such as printing and dyeing and electroplating.
Ferrous sulfate function: It can adjust the PH value of alkaline water, organically combine with suspended solids in water, and accelerate precipitation. It is mainly used in water purification and industrial wastewater treatment, and has a sterilization effect.
Ferrous sulfate flocculant: It has good flocculation effect and is cheap. It is the first choice for wastewater treatment such as printing and dyeing and electroplating.
