The reasons for the sharp rise of the price are as follows: first, due to the upstream production limit and power limit, the chlor-alkali device is not working properly, and the capacity of Sodium hydroxide is reduced. The other reason is that the price of the downstream Alumina enterprise rises, and the demand for Sodium hydroxide is better, Sodium hydroxide in short supply, the price rose.
From January 2021 to the end of June, the price of Sodium hydroxide was weak, and the overall price was lower than in 2020 and 2019, due to the oversupply of Sodium hydroxide and low prices of Alumina companies, the demand for Sodium hydroxide reduced, Sodium hydroxide prices recovered. Since July 2021, the price of Sodium hydroxide has rebounded. One is that enterprises start work in line with the reduction, and the other is that Alumina demand is better, and the price of Sodium hydroxide has risen sharply. In general, the price of Sodium hydroxide in the late period is still high, mainly based on downstream market demand.
