Pharmacodynamics Cefthiafur is a β-lactam antibacterial drug, which has a broad-spectrum bactericidal effect and is effective against gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria (including β-lactamase bacteria). Its antibacterial mechanism is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell walls and lead to bacterial death. Sensitive bacteria are mainly polyclidal Pasteurella, Hemolytic Pasteurella, Actinomycetes pleural pneumoniae, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, etc., and some Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterococcus are resistant. The antibacterial activity of this product is stronger than ampicillin, and the activity of streptococci is stronger than that of fluoroquinolones.

Pharmacological Ceftiofur intramuscular and subcutaneous injections are rapidly absorbed and widely distributed, but do not cross the blood-brain barrier. The concentration of the drug in the blood and tissues is high, and the effective blood drug concentration is maintained for a long time. Effects and uses:

β-lactam antibiotics. It is mainly used for the treatment of bacterial diseases in livestock and poultry. Such as bacterial respiratory infections in cattle and pigs and Escherichia coli and Salmonella infections in chickens.

Usage and dosage:

Measured in cefotifur. Intramuscular injection: one dose, per 1 kg of body weight, 3 to 5 mg in pigs; Use once a day for 3 consecutive days. Subcutaneous injection: 1 day old chickens, 0.1 mg per pigeon.

Indications: For E. coli infection in chicks.
