Afoxolaner

Afoxolaner is an oral veterinary drug used primarily in dogs to treat and prevent flea and tick infestations. Marketed under the brand name NexGard®, it works by disrupting the nervous system of parasites, killing them during their blood meal. It also helps prevent Lyme disease and is sometimes used off-label to treat mange, ear mites, and other ectoparasitic conditions.
